Ai Yoshihara was too outspoken and not submissive enough as a girl to fit in Japan. When she was 20, she finally got her father’s approval to move to America, where she could express herself. Contrary to her expectations, she struggled with a language barrier, failed marriage, and surviving alone in America. When she was at her lowest point in life, she lost her sister and biggest fan to suicide. It was then that Ai realized life is too short. This life-changing experience motivated her to keep the promise she made to her sister of becoming a professional Stand Up comedian. Now, Ai Yoshihara tells her tragic stories light-heartedly with a unique Asian perspective.
